A pediatric dentist and consultant by profession, Dr. Sneedha Mainali has different roles to take in her professional and social life. The Managing Director of Shine Dental Clinic, Dr. Mainali is also a lecturer and the Head of Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at KIST Medical College, affiliated to Institute of Medicine (IoM), Tribhuwan University, Nepal.
The first elected female President of Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS), Dr. Mainali led different individual and organizational relief and reconstruction efforts post earthquake. SEBS contributed in the lives of over 10,000 families by carrying out a massive relief campaign and is currently resurrecting a public school. Dr. Sneedha led the organization’s base during earthquake relief work. She is currently serving for her second term as the president of SEBS.
At individual level, she has carried out counselling and therapy sessions for children of the earthquake shelter camps and winter clothes drive for the people of Solukhumbu. Considering her empathetic involvements, she was honored with the ‘Youth Hero’ award and listed as ’75 Most Influential Women Leaders’ of Nepal.
